Be sure to wear rubber gloves to protect the contacts or the clips.
Insert the new battery into the socket after the older one has been removed. Make sure that the positive side of the battery is facing upwards and the clips are all seated. Slide the cover towards the key-ring portion until it loosens and it falls off. Then, lift the cover and reveal the mechanical key blade that is hidden within. This can be used to unlock your car by the driver's side doors if the key fob battery is dead or has been lost.
